This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Jaunt uses. The short version: we only use what is needed to make Jaunt work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. “Browser storage” (also called local storage) is similar: it lets a website remember small bits of information on your device. In this policy, “cookies” covers both.
2. Cookies in the Jaunt app
The Jaunt app at app.jaunt-travel.io uses these:
token (cookie): keeps you signed in. It lasts 7 days and is renewed while you use Jaunt. It is only sent to Jaunt and cannot be read by other websites. Essential.
jaunt_access_token (browser storage): a short-lived pass that lets the app load your trips. It is replaced every few minutes and removed when you sign out. Essential.
jaunt-theme (browser storage): remembers if you chose light or dark mode.
jaunt_last_jaunt_id (browser storage): remembers the last trip you opened, so the app can take you back to it.
All of these are needed for the app to work or to remember a choice you made, so under UK law they do not need your consent. That is why Jaunt does not show a cookie banner.
3. Our websites
Our website (jaunt-travel.io) and our help, demo and design sites do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare, which protects our sites, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell real visitors apart from bots.
4. Usage statistics
We use Umami in the app, and Cloudflare Web Analytics and Framer’s built-in statistics on our websites, to count visits and see which pages and features are used. None of these use cookies or track you across other websites.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the essential ones, you will not be able to sign in to Jaunt.
6. Changes
If we start using other cookies, such as analytics cookies that need your consent, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
